‘further recognises the need for increased investment in water infrastructure across Northern Ireland; notes the failure of privatisation and mutualisation models to run water services; calls on the Minister for Infrastructure to work to bring NI Water back in-house as a full public and statutory body and to rule out water charges as a regressive tax and to commit to campaigning for increased investment in our water services.’

‘further recognises that while this infrastructure is vital for housing, businesses, the economy and the environment, it has been severely underfunded due to years of British government budget cuts and austerity; reiterates its opposition to the introduction of domestic water charges; and calls on the Minister for Infrastructure and the Executive to press the British government to make immediate and durable changes to our funding arrangements to ensure that the Executive has the resources it needs to deliver effective public services, including a sustainable water and wastewater network.’
